A range of emergency door releases (EDR’s) to provide a physical method of unlocking an electronic lock in the event of an emergency.
Emergency door releases (EDR’s) are generally fitted where there is no manual method to permanently release an electronically locked door in the event of an emergency. These units are normally electrically connected in line (series) with “fail safe” locks, to remove power to the lock when the unit is activated.
The EM200 is a double pole break-glass EDR. Pressing on the front plate will cause the plexi-glass to break, and this will operate the micro switch. The unit is reset by replacing the plexi-glass. An optional protective cover to prevent accidental activation of the EDR’s is available (MX-03).
